Gothic rock

Gothic rock emerged in England from punk music. Because this country has a Irish influence, most of the songs are with a fairytale content or about England (such as burzum that is a black metal band). The basic instrument is of course the electric guitar, but also a strong female or male voice. The first Goth bands did not have such a satanic them that they have today, but the basic subject was the same, the dark. The clips also showed such representations of spleen and these ware very much appreciated as something different in that time.

The creepy back sound must not miss any true gothic sound but also the right outfits for the band. Gothic rock also gives birth to other stiles such as black metal or death metal. The music is very popular among teenagers but also grownups. There are some bands that have really lame lyrics with no deeper lairs like “I want your blood” and things like that.

Surprisingly these are very popular and very many teenagers have such records. Fortunately there are also bands that send a different type of message that it’s not just deep but also putted in a very lyric way that not many appreciate for the simple fact that they just don’t know what the singer meant to say. Funny ha? Some people like to feel Goth because other people are afraid of them, but to feel Goth music as you’d suppose to and really understand it doesn’t man that you have to dress in black and listen to this music.

Even still, the Goth music seems to be coming back strong after a lay low period and more and more bands seem to emerge out of the fog with their black guitars.

Goth rock is seriously getting some treat from the ever raising Emo appearance, and more teens seem to practice it. Even though this EMO sound friendlier, you get to see videos in which a black metal guy kicks the hell out of an Emo. These are also violent scenes and can happen in reveres, plus, even if Goth is sad, it somehow encourages to power while it’s much unfriendly relative Emo, starts massive depressions in a colored hair.

Goth has many adepts, and it is a real use in horror movies. It’s used to create the creepy atmosphere and to create tension for the viewer. Without it, horror movies just wouldn’t be the same. Some thrillers also use such a music in fight scene that seem to kept that little bit of extra from this music.

The large spectrum of cinematographic usage of this music, but also its popularity among teenagers, makes it very hard to tremble though it emerged from the ash of the old punk-rock. The stile is totally different and it manages to adapt itself to any age by the singers that play this music.

If you want to hear how this music sounds like, you can just search for videos online. Look for bands like Cradle of Filth for black metal and for With in Temptation for a more gothic spectrum.
